Reserve Rooms

The Hastings Public Library has several spaces that can be reserved for study, meetings or events both public and private. See below for basic information, see the Community and Study Room page for details, or Reserve Space now.

Community Room

This space on the second floor can be divided in two, configured with chairs and tables, has a small kitchenette, a projector and screen as well as an attached outdoor patio.

The space is appropriate for small group meetings or a party for a few hundred. It can even be rented after hours on Fridays and Saturdays!

There are fees or deposits for serving food as well as rental fees for certain types of meetings. See the Community and Study Room page for more information.

Study Rooms

The Study Room on the first floor by the South entrance is popular with tutors and others looking for a small space with a door where they can have some privacy for phone calls or to use a computer.

There is no fee for this room. It can be reserved on a first come, first served basis.

See the Community and Study Room page for more information.

Michigan Room

The Michigan Room is dedicated to Genealogy and local history research. It has two large 8'x4' tables along with a few computers for online research and a microfilm reader.

This room cannot be reserved except for HPL sponsored events.

The public is always welcome to use this space for small meetings, to study, perform genealogy and history research or just read. All patrons are welcome in this space so we ask everyone to be considerate if others are using the room with you.
